Homemade Gummy Bears

My toddlers and I made the easiest gummy bear treats at home!

Here's how:

  • Beef gelatin (I like this one) *you can also replace with a plant based gelatin

  • A silicone mold (we used this one)

  • Fruit juice

  • Honey (optional)

  • Elderberry syrup (we did some with juice and some with elderberry) We used our homemade elderberry syrup - check out this blog post for the recipe.

  • Pour 1 cup of juice into a pot. Bring to a simmer over high heat.

  • Add 1 1/2 TBSP of beef gelatin and whisk until full dissolved.

  • Add 1-2 TBSP of honey if used and whisk. (I found 1 TBSP was plenty sweet)

  • Pour into molds.

  • Let set in the fridge for 1-2 hours.

  • Pop out of the molds and store in the fridge.

My kids loved making these, and loved eating them even more!
