Just in time for Valentine's Day, these easy homemade "Pop-Tarts" were a hit in my house!
Ingredients:
Pre-made Pie Crust
Rolling Pin
Heart Cookie Cutter
Jam
Corn Starch
Powdered. Sugar
Food Coloring
Sprinkles
Flavor Extract (optional)
Egg
Directions:
Leave pie crust out at room temperature for at least 30 mins
Roll slightly on a floured surface
Cut out using heart shapes
Lightly egg wash the bottom heart
Mix a bit of cornstarch in with the jam
Place a dollop of jam in the center of a heart
Top with another heart and seal the edges with a fork
Bake at 350 degree for about 12-15 minutes
To make icing mix powdered sugar, water, food coloring and extract (I used raspberry - this is optional)
Once cool decorate with icing and sprinkles
