Last week, we had a great time checking out a new to us park - The Tacoma Nature Center. There were multiple areas to explore. A lovely looping (stroller friendly) walking trail. The kids enjoyed walking across a bridge, seeing ducks swimming in the water, and reading the info signs posted along the way. There was a great outdoor playground called Discovery Pond, where the kids enjoyed climbing, sliding and interacting with nature. The indoor area had lots of fun interactive activities to keep both the kids and adults engaged. The kids especially loved the animal dress up area! We had so much fun and will definitely be back. 10/10 recommend checking out this great Tacoma park!
More than two miles of soft-surfaced walking trails wander through the wetlands and forest areas. There is also a half-mile outdoor access route for wheelchairs. The trails through this 70-acre preserve traverse open water, wetlands and forested hillsides. General admission is free for the preserve.

It has unconventional play features like a tree house, boulder scramble, slide inside a hollow log, snag climb, pond with waterfalls and log crossing, walking trails and rain gardens.
