What's in My Trunk Tote

I love to keep a big tote bin in the trunk of my car full of kids supplies that we might need when out and about. This simple parenting hack has saved me so many times! I just refreshed the bin for the Spring so I thought I'd tell you what I keep inside.

  • Tote bin: I like this one from Target

  • Change of clothes for each of the kiddos

  • Car toys and books

  • Gathre mini mat (perfect for impromptu park visits or picnics)

  • Paper plates, napkins and some disposable cutlery

  • A few outdoor toys for the park (ball, frisbee, bubbles)

  • Diapers, wipes, changing pad

  • A few garbage bags and a roll of doggy bags

  • Snacks...lots of snacks

  • Travel potty seat, I love this one

  • A few small blankets for the kids

  • Baby carrier

  • Sunscreen

  • First aid kit

  • Travel highchair & bib, I've used this one with all of my kids

  • Zippered pouch with a ready to go "restaurant kit" - this has some paper, markers, magnet toys, a baggie of legos, small games, pop it toys

I love having this bin in the car, and it's really saved the day when I've forgotten the diaper bag, we end up on a spontaneous adventure, or we meet friends at a brewery and need some activities for the kids.
