Full-Time Nanny/Educator Needed

This Bellevue family with four kids is looking for their nanny extraordinaire. The family describes themselves as fairly go with the flow and laid back. The parents try to help the kids manage and be in touch with their feelings, and strive to implement natural consequences. Their 6 y/o likes to observe, is cautious, strong willed, reserved, but warms up to people. He is learning to read, loves stories and video games. Their 4 y/o is energetic, and strong willed. He Likes stories, being read to, video games, rough housing, and tickles. He sometimes gets discouraged when he's not as good at some things as older sibling. Their 2.5 y/o is deliberate, loving, and engaging. He likes tools, stuffed animals, reading, pretend cooking and serving his own food. He’s polite, snuggly, strong willed. Their baby is still young - tracking things very well. Come fall, their 6 y/o will be starting 1st grade with distance learning, so they need someone that will be competent in helping facilitate that. Their 4y/o needs help developing pre-reading skills and math. They would like part of the day to be focused on their learning. The family could get others (parents, housemates, grandparents) to help take care of youngest two children during this education focused time if needed. Their 2.5 y/o naps from 1pm-3:30pm every day. The baby is currently taking about 2 naps, of 1-2 hours in length. For outside time, the kids enjoy hanging in yard and going on walks. If playgrounds in King Country open, the nanny could drive their minivan or walk there with the kids. Their ideal nanny is someone who can engage the kids in learning, help them progress in studies, and develop emotionally. Someone that can help them build resilience, self-reliance, emotional awareness, and educational skills is important to the family. A nanny with a degree in early childhood education (or similar) would be preferred. Someone that has enough experience to be confident in getting the kids to study, be engaged and stay focused is key. Both parents are currently working from home, due to the pandemic. The family shares their home with three other adults and the grandparents come over to help regularly. They are all taking COVID precautions. The family is open to a candidate that brings their child to work.

Responsibilities include: childcare, child meal prep, meal planning (lunch + snack), straightening up from daily activities
