Creating a Baby Play Space

Creating a safe and welcoming space for baby to play in is a great thing to do when prepping for your more mobile baby. If you are having a nanny join your family, it's also a fantastic idea to have a designated space for baby to play. As a former nanny and current parent of four, I have a few favorite items to share to create a fun and comfortable space for baby and caregiver.

- Mirror with pull up bar (babies love to see themselves in the mirror and the pull up bar is great for gross motor skill development). I love this one.

- Soft mat (great for transitioning from tummy time to sitting/crawling). This is also great because it provides cushioning for caregiver to sit on the floor. I love this one.

- Fun toys. Here are some of my baby's favorites:

We are also big fans of Lovevery play kits! My sons really enjoyed the Montessori toy subscription when they were toddlers and still play with the items. They're great quality and can be passed along to siblings and friends. Now, we're bringing out some of the earlier kits for our littlest. This week, she's enjoying The Inspector Play Kit. You can sign up here.
