How amazing are these slides!?
Such a great way for kids to burn off some energy, and it was a workout for me climbing up and down all those stairs. I couldn't resist going down a few slides myself!
The slides and stairs are located in Tacoma at Dune Peninsula at Pt. Defiance Park
"Affectionately described by staff as a real-life “Chutes and Ladders” experience, this series of six slides next to the east end of the bridge is the fun way to quickly get down to the marina complex below. Each slide has a set of stairs next to it for those who prefer a slower route."
It's a short walk from Point Ruston, where you can grab a coffee from the local small shop and take in the pretty sights. If you continue walking past the slides, you'll reach the zoo and a great playground and picnic area.
